We want to personally thank you for your hard work and professionalism on the Drake Road widening project. In particular, the operation to rebuild the intersection of Drake Road and Shields Street was truly magnificent! This had the potential for serious impact on the traveling public, on a busy weekend when the college students were returning to town to get ready for the Fall Semester. However, the impacts were minimized through good planning, coordination and teamwork among a number of dedicated people like yourself and organizations such as yours.
Oftentimes, we receive only criticism for the disruptions caused by the work we do in repairing and upgrading the City's infrastructure. However, we want you to know that your work is extremely important to the citizens of Fort Collins, and we greatly appreciate the competent manner in which you go about your business.
