STONE RIDGE MONUMENT SIGN -Fort Collins, Co

The monument sign at Stone Ridge, Southeast Fort Collins, creates a distinct focal point for the development. The design concept included a visual effect of "floating" the entry monument in the pond by placing one pillar of the structure in the water. The softening of the urban street space is enhanced by the motion and sound of water circulating from the pond, through the monument, and finally where it cascades gracefully from the keystone. The harmonious blending of plants, rock outcroppings, turf, and of course the water, make this an extraordinary setting, during the day or at night.
